Effective date: September 29, 2026

These Service Terms apply to services provided by Handyman Division LLC (“Handyman Division,” “we,” or “us”) in Chicago, Illinois. They explain how we review, schedule, and complete approved home-service work.

Service Approval

A website inquiry, text message, or request for service is not a confirmed appointment or contract. Before work begins, Handyman Division may review photos, project details, access, materials, location, safety conditions, and scheduling availability.

We will confirm the approved scope of work before scheduling. Work that is outside the approved scope may require a separate quote, rescheduling, or may be declined.

Task Force Membership Visits

The Task Force Membership provides one 75-minute home-upkeep visit for $75. A new membership visit is available every six months.

The visit covers as many approved Task Force tasks as can reasonably and safely be completed within the 75-minute visit. Unused time does not roll over, and the visit may not be transferred to another property.

Current Task Force service categories include:

  • HVAC Air-Filter Replacement
  • Bathroom Fixture Upkeep
  • Smoke Alarm/CO Detector Battery Replacement
  • Accessible Lightbulb Replacement
  • Picture & lightweight Décor Hanging
  • (1) Door Handle & Deadbolt Replacement

Service limits, item compatibility, mounting conditions, and safe access apply. The specific work must be approved before the visit.

Materials and Replacement Products

Labor for approved Task Force tasks is included in the $75 visit. Materials, replacement products, batteries, filters, bulbs, fixtures, detector units, and hardware are charged separately unless specifically stated otherwise.

Customers may provide their own compatible materials. Handyman Division may supply standard items for convenience, with the cost communicated before purchase or installation. Customers requesting a specific brand, style, size, or special-order item must provide it or approve a separate material quote.

Safety and Service Limits

Handyman Division may decline, stop, or reschedule work when conditions are unsafe, inaccessible, incompatible, or outside the approved scope.

We do not provide:

  • Electrical wiring or modifications inside walls
  • Gas-line work
  • Plumbing modifications requiring licensed or permitted trade work
  • Roofing or structural construction
  • Major remodeling
  • Emergency or 24-hour service
  • Work that requires permits or a licensed trade professional

For detector and bathroom-fixture work, we perform compatible, accessible replacements only. Rewiring, changing electrical boxes, altering interconnected alarm systems, or modifying hardwired systems is not included.

Access and Customer Responsibilities

The customer must provide safe, clear access to the work area and disclose known conditions that may affect the job. An adult authorized to approve work and materials must be available when needed.

Customers are responsible for securing pets, valuables, fragile items, and areas not related to the approved work. We may request that an item be moved or that a work area be cleared before service begins.

Separate Handyman Work

Handyman Division may offer separately quoted handyman services beyond the Task Force Membership. Those projects are not included in the membership visit and require their own scope, pricing, material approval, and scheduling.

Scheduling and Changes

Appointments depend on availability. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please contact us as soon as possible. Repeated cancellations, missed appointments, unsafe conditions, or lack of access may affect future scheduling.
